Parks, Temples and Gardens
This slightly out of the way park is a lovely place to quickly get out of the city. Located at the base of Bailushan, it is dominated by a very large lake at the centre of it. The lake has some boat rentals surrounding it and you will find many locals fishing on it on the weekends. A beautiful pier extends over the lake - a favourite for selfie fanatics.
The lake is crossed by the Jindai Bridge, which in itself is an attraction for many lovebirds from the surrounding areas and is an especially beautiful sight at sunset. There is also a lovely pavilion by the lake, which like the bridge is built in the traditional Chinese style. In the pavilion you can have a cup of tea or some dinner while looking at the water.
Opposite the lake, trails extend up and over the hill. Overgrown by shrubbery, ardent hikers and adventurous visitors weave in and around the overgrowth, over wooden slats that climb up and over the hill for a raised view of the park. There are many conveniences afforded to Dahu park's visitors. Those wanting to get in a bit of a workout, but are less than enthusiastic about the hiking trails, will be pleased by Dahu park's adjacent aquatic facilities. Beside the park is a heated swimming pool, steam room, sauna, and water slide. A great way to work out in the cold winter temperatures, or cool down during the relentless Summer.
